Earl L. Calhoun, CPA

Business Consulting & Litigation

Earl L. Calhoun, CPA founded Calhoun & Company, PLLC in 1995. He graduated in 1974 from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He has been in practice since 1974 and a firm partner since 1978.  He served as KYCPA Board President from 1994-1995 and is a member of the AICPA, KYCPA, and AICPA’s Forensic and Valuation Services. He takes pride in his community and has been involved with various civic and not-for-profit organizations while living in Hopkinsville. He has also served on the Board of Trustees as past Board Chair for Jennie Stuart Health. For more than 40 years, he has provided a full range of services to businesses and individuals, including financial institutions, and specializes in business consulting, negotiation and financing support, and litigation.

Debbie L. Fuller, CPA, CSEP

Partner

Tax, Compliance & Financial Manager

Debbie L. Fuller, CPA, CSEP graduated cum laude from Murray State University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She earned her Kentucky CPA license in 1994 and joined Calhoun & Company, PLLC in 1996. She is a member of the AICPA, KYCPA, and a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning. For more than 20 years, she has provided expert advise and consulting in business and individual taxation, and inheritance and estate tax. Debbie reviews the preparation of various federal, state, and local tax returns. She assists clients with tax notice disputes with various taxing authorities and works diligently to provide the  best possible outcome for our clients.  Her diversified public accounting background also includes significant involvement in  audit and attest services for financial institutions, governmental, and not-for-profit entities. She is an active member of Crossroads Fellowship and is currently the treasurer. Debbie also serves on the Trigg County, KY Board of Health and Litchfield Memorial Student Loan Fund Board. Debbie and her husband, John Fuller, reside in Cadiz, KY with their three boys.

Karen P. Kreil, CPA

Karen P. Kreil, CPA joined Calhoun & Company, PLLC in 1999 after graduating from Austin Peay State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Business Administration concentrating in Accounting and Management. She is a licensed CPA in Kentucky and Tennessee and is a member of the AICPA, KYCPA, and TSCPA. Karen has extensive experience performing and reviewing audit and attest services for financial institutions, governmental, and not-for-profit entities. In addition to audit management, she prepares business and individual income tax returns, provides tax consulting and business valuations. She has served as a volunteer for United Way of the Pennyrile, past event chair for Christian County Relay for Life, alumnus of Leadership Hopkinsville, and a past participant and Task Force member of KYCPA’s Leadership Academy. She currently serves as a board member for Hopkinsville Business and Professional Women’s Club and is the West Region Liaison for KYCPA. Karen and her husband, Dave, reside in Clarksville, TN.

Jaime L. Petersen, CPA

Jaime L. Petersen, CPA joined Calhoun & Company, PLLC in 2002. She graduated from Transylvania University cum laude with a Bachelor of Art in Accounting in 2001 and obtained a Master of Science in Accountancy from University of Kentucky in 2002. She is a member of the AICPA, KYCPA and is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor®. She is a leader in our firm in most areas of accounting, including but not limited to, highly complex individual and business income tax returns, tax consulting, audit and attest services for governmental, private, and not-for-profit entities, financial statement compilations, projections and valuations, litigation support, and technology consulting. She is also responsible for training and supervising professional staff. Jaime is a former member of KYCPA’s Leadership Council and Hopkinsville Junior Auxiliary. She is a current member of Hopkinsville Young Professionals Engage (HYPE) alongside some other professional staff. She is married to Craig Petersen and they reside in Clarksville, TN with their two children.

Ashely Wofford, CPA

Staff Accountant

Ashely Wofford began her accounting career with Calhoun & Company, PLLC following graduation from Murray State University in 2006 with a Bachelors in Science degree. She left us for a few years to explore other aspects of accounting with a government contracting agency. She rejoined our firm in January 2017 as part of our tax and audit staff. She resides in Hopkinsville with her husband, John Paul, and their three boys.

Boni S. Wynn

Business Services Manager

Boni S. Wynn has been with Calhoun & Company, PLLC since 1995. She began her accounting career following graduation from Hopkinsville Community College in 1984 with an Associate in Computer Science. She specializes in information systems and technology consulting and is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor®. As business services manager, she oversees and reviews the preparation of payroll, payroll tax, sales tax, financial statement compilations, and multiple other business services. Boni resides in Princeton, KY with her husband, Stan, and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.

Kim M. Riddle

Business Services Accountant

Kimberyle M. Riddle joined Calhoun & Company, PLLC in August of 2016. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Murray State University in 2008. Before joining our team, Kimberyle worked for eight years as the Accounting Supervisor for a government contractor here in Hopkinsville. She and her husband, Daniel, reside in Hopkinsville along with their twin girls, Madelyn and Mckenzie.

Staff Accountant

Rebecca Harrison joined Calhoun & Company, PLLC in December of 2017. She graduated summa cum laude from Ferrum College in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a minor in Business. In her free time she enjoys traveling and spending time with family. She resides in Clarksville.
